America’s leading sports annuals—Street & Smith’s and Sporting News—have become one.
American City Business Journals Inc., Street & Smith’s parent company, purchased Sporting News late last year.
We have adopted the Sporting News flag for the annuals because Sporting News is an integrated sports media company whose operations also include the “first newsweekly in sports,” a Web-based fantasy division and a nationwide radio network.
The “new” yearbooks will be a blend of the best of Street & Smith’s, America’s oldest sports annuals, and Sporting News yearbooks.
Sporting News annuals will be published in Charlotte, N.C., headquarters of American City and the Street & Smith’s Sports Group.
Titles will continue to include previews and predictions for baseball, hockey, pro and college football, pro and college basketball, fantasy baseball and football, and four NASCAR publications.
We believe the combined resources of Street & Smith’s and Sporting News will create a new standard for excellence in sports yearbooks.
