CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Celebrating 65 years of the best pro baseball coverage, Street & Smith's Sports Annuals is proud to announce its publication of Street & Smith’s Baseball 2006 Yearbook.

Heralded as “America’s Sports Bible,” the 200-page magazine features in-depth reports on all 30 MLB teams, including team stats and schedules, rosters, projected lineups and offseason acquisitions. Special features within the team previews include “The Book on …” and “View from the other dugout,” in which MLB scouts give off-the-record opinions on players and teams. Another special feature is “Down on the farm,” which identifies the top 10 prospects and impact rookie for each team.

In addition to the team reports, Street & Smith’s Baseball 2006 Yearbook also includes a look at the disastrous 2005 postseason of umpiring that shows that it may be time for instant replay, as well as the experiences major leaguers encounter while playing in Japan. Another feature in the annual focuses on Barry Bonds’ home run chase of Hank Aaron, where Street & Smith’s uses a unique formula of steroid-adjusted numbers to determine who really is the top slugger of all time, and we also catch up with four MLB stars of the ’90s in “Where are they now?” featuring Albert Belle, Vince Coleman, Will Clarke and Mark Lemke.

We’ve also added a new contest, “Street & Smith’s Fans’ Choice,” where readers predict the A.L. and N.L. division champions, the World Series champion and various MLB awards. Of course, Street & Smith’s has its annual predictions and will look to correctly predict the 2006 World Series winner.

Street & Smith’s would also like to announce the addition of a new publication that will follow our baseball annual, Street & Smith’s Fantasy Baseball 2006, which hits newsstands Feb. 28.
